Russell Cleveland is the principal founder and the majority shareholder of RENN Capital Group, Inc. RENN provides capital to emerging publicly owned companies. Russell is a Chartered Financial Analyst who has specialized in investing in emerging growth companies for over 40 years. Mr. Cleveland is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, Wharton School of Finance and Commerce.
 

He has served as President of the Dallas Association of Investment Analysts and his background includes executive positions with major southwest regional brokerage firms. For over 10 years, he was a contributing editor of Texas Business Magazine where he analyzed investment trends. Russell Cleveland is a co-author of the book Money Grows in Texas and the SMI course Being Financially Independent. He is working on several other books, including The Investors Garden and The 10 Principles of Business Success. He has contributed and has been quoted in a number of national publications including The Wall Street Journal, Barron’s, Equities Magazine and Business Week. Russell has appeared numerous times on CNBC (the international market News channel), as a commentator reviewing small-cap companies.

 
Mr. Cleveland currently serves as President and Director of Renaissance Capital
Growth & Income Fund III, Inc. (NASDAQ: RENN). He also is Director and Manager
of Renaissance US Growth and Income Trust PLC, which is traded on the London
Exchange, U.S. Portfolio manager of US Special Opportunities Trust PLC
(London based) and Premier RENN US Emerging Growth Limited (London based).
He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Cover-All Technologies, Inc.,
CaminoSoft Corp., Integrated Security Systems, Inc., Tutogen Medical, Inc., and
Access Plans USA. Over the years, Mr. Cleveland has served on the boards
of many publicly traded emerging growth companies.
 
On a personal note, Russell is married and has three grown sons. He is a descendent of Moses Cleveland who arrived in America in 1640 and produced many prominent Americans, including President Grover Cleveland. He played tennis in college and for a number of years held top state rankings. Russell has a long history of interest in music and contributed to the definitive book on classical guitars, The Classical Guitar: A Complete History, featuring the Russell Cleveland collection. On a civic note, Mr. Cleveland is past president of The Humane Society of Dallas.
